Most of us understand the basic skills and products involved in house cleaning. Scrubbing countertops, mopping floors, and washing the windows are all pretty straightforward. Fresh Tech Maid we have discovered a few house cleaning hacks that will help you save time and get a deeper job done in those hard-to-reach areas. Check out these helpful tips and tricks that you may never have thought of before!
Clean Faucets with Dryer Sheets
Utilize new or even slightly used dryer sheets to clean your metal sink faucets. The texture of the sheets and their cleansing properties will make your faucets sparkle and shine like new.
Stick Your Shower Head in a Bag
The shower head is one of the most neglected spots in the bathroom, mainly because it is so difficult to wipe down! However, this is where your water is coming out of so you need to de-grime it every once in a while. Some great house cleaning hacks for this is to fill a plastic baggie with vinegar or another solution, and tie it around your shower head for a few hours. This will help loosen up all the dirt that has been collecting to make it easier to wipe and rinse off.
Do the Same with Stove Burners!
The same house cleaning hacks work wonders on grimy stove burners. It can be easy to let these get dirty as the melted food can be hard to pry off. Using the same technique as before, fill plastic baggies with vinegar and stick the dirty burners in. Let them soak for a few hours, and the dried food will come right off!
Microwave to Clean Your Microwave
No one likes cleaning the microwave! It smells bad and you have to scrub away other people’s crusty old food. Instead, try steaming it first! Again, use vinegar or another preferred cleaning solution and fill a bowl. Stick the bowl in the microwave and turn it on for a minute or two. The steamed vinegar will clean out the inside of the microwave, making it much easier to wipe away old food and grime.
Get a Fresh-Smelling Vacuum
You know that old, musty vacuum cleaner scent? It can be hard to be motivated to clean when you have to put up with that smell every time! To get rid of this odor, you can actually just suck up something that smells better. Try those fragrant little laundry deodorizers or something similar for a fresh smell whenever you break out your vacuum.
We hope these cleaning hacks will help you keep you complete your chores as quickly and easily as possible!
